Yeah, you heard me. Extravaganza.
In my opinion, October 31 starts the Season of Indulgence.
First we have Halloween, the night of the organized begging for candy.
Next is Thanksgiving, where we eat all day and ceremoniously watch inflatable figures maneuver their way around the streets of New York City.
And then finally, Christmas; the day of family, feasting, and singing about a large man and his reindeer.
What a wonderful season we have ahead of us.Read More

Alternate titles: “Delicious Ugly Candy,” “The Easiest Candy Recipe You’ll Ever Try,” and “So Stinkin’ Yummy Candy.”
I love when recipes just work. And when they come together in no time at all. And when they’re so.freakin’.perfect.Read More

Fun fact about me: I hate scary things.
Scary movies, haunted houses, freaky costumes…I can’t deal with it.
And the fact that people actually pay for these types of interactions simply boggle my mind.
I’m already way too anxious in real life to actually pay to get worked up over simulated stressful situations.Read More

If you follow me on Snapchat (@fooduzzi), you’ll know that my burrito bowl game is fierce.
Whether it’s my Better-than-Chipotle version or my Thai Peanut version, Mark and I gobble down a homemade burrito bowl at least once a week.
There’s just something so comforting, so divine, so gosh-darn addictive about that rice-veggie-sauce combination that makes me craveeee it every single week.Read More

And it’s Saturday again.
What a glorious sentence.
I’m currently getting cozy on the couch with a giant glass of green tea (with a splash of almond milk) next to my groovy boyfriend. Can life get any better than this?
If you read my Thankful Thursday post, you’ll know that I have been in Texas throughout the week. I came home on Thursday, so I was able to have a wonderful Friday night in with my main squeeze consisting of Thai Peanut Burrito Bowls and wine. I feel like I’m a bit of a broken record because we seem to have this kind of night all the time. But if you try those burrito bowls, you’ll understand. Oh boy, will you understand.
This week was super hectic, but I managed to snap a few pics of some randomness that made me super happy. So, without further adieu, here is A Week in the Life of a Food Blogger. Read More

Howdy! I’m coming at you from the great state of Texas yet again.
Travel has been hard. Granted, I’ve only been at this for two weeks in a row. But being away from the comfort of my own bed, kitchen, and boyfriend has really taken its toll.
It’s incredible the simple things I take for granted, like being able to make tea whenever I want. Sleeping on the best pillow in the entire world. Having my boyfriend wrap his arms around me after a particularly rough day.
You know what else has been difficult? Eating. In the land of all-things beef. And BBQ.
There literally are no restaurants around me that are conducive to my eating style. There’s a Jack-in-the-Box and a Taco Bell across the street. Not much else. I kid you not.
Another thing I take for granted? The Aldi right across the street. Oh, and my fridge. My sweet, sweet fridge.
When life starts going a little wacky, one of the last things on my mind is what I’m thankful for. It’s SO counter-intuitive; when my life seems crazy out-of-control, I should be grounding myself in the things I love most. The things I can always count on to cheer me up or to help me realize just how lucky I am.
As the holiday season grows closer, I find my stress at new highs. Gift-buying, special post-planning, keeping up with a whole foods diet-ing…the holiday stress is real. During the holidays, I definitely lose sight of what’s important in life. I get so lost in the hustle and bustle and holiday “cheer,” that I actually forget to give thanks for all of the good in my life.
This is why I decided to change it up this Thursday and make a list of 50 things I’m thankful for at this very moment. I hope that it can encourage you to make a list of your own. Feeling zany? Leave a few in the comments! I’d love to bounce some ideas off of each other and add to my list. You can never be thankful for too many things!Read More

I always used my Halloween costume choice as an excuse to exercise my quirkiness.
Don’t get me wrong, I had my fair share of traditional Halloweens dressed as Disney princesses (Ariel, always) and pumpkins; however, when I got a little older, I decided to “go hard” in the Halloween department.Read More
